Celebrate spring and the Persian New Year with New Synagogue Project on March 22 from 5pm-7pm.
This event will explore the history of Persian Jews, specific traditions of Persian Jews around Purim and Passover, and the holiday of Nowruz. We will have a discussion and art-based activity for kids and adults to learn more about a rich and less explored history.
Please bring a side dish or dessert to share in a meal together, if you can. We will conclude the event with Havdalah.
This event is hosted by NSP’s Kaleidoscope Space, with special attention to the experience of those directly impacted by racism, colonization, and/or Ashkenazi dominance, and open to the whole community.
