Kollel, our School-Aged Kids’ Education Program

Kollel is NSP’s kids’ education program for ages 5-12! NSP Kollel emphasizes living the rhythms of Jewish life, connecting to the NSP community, and taking action for justice by linking Jewish principles to applied experiences. The program is led by our Education Director, Liora Ostroff, whose bio you can read here. Learn more about NSP Kollel here.

Tot Shabbat

Once a month on Shabbat morning, families gather for Tot Shabbat, an abridged morning service full of song and dance that is geared towards ages 1-5 (but fun for everyone). Everyone is invited to stay after for a catered kiddush lunch (usually pupusas!). Register for the next Tot Shabbat here.

Kids Team

The Kids Team is open to all NSP members (not just caregivers), and seeks to support all of our formal and informal kid-focused events. This includes providing support to Kollel and Tot Shabbat, as well as organizing playdates, hikes, holiday experiences, and more. Contact the Kids Team at kidsteam@newsynagogugeproject.org to get involved.

Bereishit: Parenting in Community

Bereishit (“in the beginning”) is a new hub at NSP to support families with young children in parenting in community. Our goals are for parents to build relationships with one another, make sustaining connections to and gain support from the NSP community, and move along their family’s Jewish learning journey through kid-, adult-, and whole family-centered content. Sign up for the next Bereishit Playgroup + Parent Connection Cohort here.
