Register here to attend NSP’s Community Chanukah Party!
Chassidic thinkers say that on Chanukah, when we light the candles, we are re-lighting our neshamot (our souls). In a challenging time like we’re in now, there’s a risk of our internal lights, our souls, getting dim. The primary job of our community is to rekindle our lights for one another and make sure our souls continue to burn brightly.
NSP’s Annual Chanukah Party will be an all-ages, fun-filled afternoon of connecting in community. Whether you’re bringing your family or coming with friends, join us to mark this joyful holiday and rekindle one another’s lights.
Come join the party and enjoy:
Candle making
Dreidel playing
Filling (and eating!) mini-sufganiyot
Menorah lighting
Exploring our Kollel students’ visions of Chanukah as rebellion against empire
Exploring and purchasing an original protest art print by a Kollel student
Reading our JOC Chanukah cookbook
And of course noshing on latkes and other fried favorites – tostones anyone??
Additional food and both alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
As always, we couldn’t do this without you. If you’re coming, please consider volunteering to:
Set Up (3-4pm)
Greet attendees (45 minute shifts)
Facilitate an activity (45 minute shifts; candle-making, sufganiyot, etc.)
Food Monitor (45 minute shifts)
