Since first opening its doors in 2019, a team of brilliant collaborators has built the Museum of the Palestinian People into a thriving space of connection, learning, and pride for Palestinians here in DC.

The museum is now on the cusp of something extraordinary: the chance to own their space. Their small unit just off 16th Street has been home to countless conversations, exhibits, and moments of solidarity. Recently, the owners of that unit offered to sell it to the museum at a deeply discounted price—an act of generosity that could finally give the museum a permanent home.

They’ve raised $200,000 of the $250,000 needed to complete the purchase. We, as NSP, are going to raise $10,000 of that—and we need to raise it all by November 13.

In Palestinian culture, building a home is a profound honor for a family. It means that new generations are growing and rooting themselves. But Palestinians also know what it means to not have a home—or to lose a home to bombs in Gaza, bulldozers in the West Bank, and settlers in East Jerusalem. The opportunity to own and protect the museum’s home here in DC carries immense meaning.

We know the importance of having a physical space to bring people together—to learn, to build power, to imagine a better future. The Museum of the Palestinian People has become such a space for our neighbors. Let’s help them make it a permanent one.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 so NSP can sponsor a table at the Liberation level for the museum’s annual gala and stand proudly as allies, partners, and friends.

The museum currently has a generous donor who is matching every contribution up to $60,000. That means every dollar we raise together for NSP’s $10,000 goal will also help the museum meet their larger match challenge—doubling our impact and bringing them even closer to securing their permanent home.

Please fill out the form below to contribute. Every contribution—no matter the amount—moves us closer to that goal and reaffirms the values we hold as a community.
