NSP has grown to a thriving congregation of 400 member households with over 200 children, convening for soulful services, robust kids and families programs, community gatherings, and abundant opportunities to care for each other and pursue justice.  NSP has been blessed to share space with a variety of local organizations and congregations since our founding. While we’ve been deeply grateful to our church hosts for sharing their sacred space, having our own home and our own space would allow us to continue to grow and dream.

Home Campaign FAQs

Our Home Campaign goal is $1,680,000! Of that, we’ve secured $330,000 in low-interest loans and over $800,000 in pledges and lead gifts so far. That means we are already 60% of the way to our goal, and your gift will make a huge impact in helping us get to the finish line.

The Home Campaign funds we raise will go directly into construction for the new space, making it a home, the additional rent we’ll pay during construction before we can move in, expanded operating expenses in the first year while we build up our revenue streams to support increased expenses long-term, and, importantly, a reserve to ensure we can meet our financial/legal obligation to make our lease payments in the case of emergency. Below is an overview of our buildout and move-in budget:

Design (architect, engineers, AV, acoustics, etc)$100,000
Construction$750,000
Furniture & Art$120,000
Security deposit & first month rent$74,000
Additional insurance, staffing, & rent during transition to new space$226,000
Reserve (6 months rent)$210,000
Total:$1,480,000

We are still working out how donors will be recognized in ways that align with our values and honor all who contribute. We anticipate we’ll design a plaque of some kind that can be installed in the new space that lists everyone who donated to make the new space possible, regardless of amount. If you’d prefer not to be included in any public recognition, please let us know. If you have ideas about what this can look like, let us know that, too!
