Anna (she/her) is a student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College currently living in Brooklyn, NY, where she recently completed a chaplaincy residency at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital; her background includes serving as a rabbinic intern with Hillel at Haverford College’s Jewish Student Union, tutoring B’Mitzvah students, and editing original rituals and prayers for Ritualwell.
Raised in Pittsburgh, PA, in the lay-led Reconstructionist congregation Congregation Dor Hadash, she credits that diverse Rust Belt upbringing and spiritual home with instilling her commitment to community, dignity, and belonging, which in turn inspired her path to the rabbinate. This fall she joins NSP as a rabbinic intern, drawn to its vision of a spiritually vibrant, radically inclusive community, and—grounded in the teaching that olam chesed yibaneh, the world is built through lovingkindness—she looks forward to helping cultivate a community rooted in care, compassion, and justice.
