Looking to connect with other parents of young children at NSP? Have questions about weaving the rhythms and values of Jewish life into your family’s journey? Want support and companionship as you navigate the challenges (and joys!) of this life stage?

Bereishit (“in the beginning”) is a new hub at NSP to support families with young children in parenting in community. Our goals are for parents to build relationships with one another, make sustaining connections to and gain support from the NSP community, and move along their family’s Jewish learning journey through kid-, adult-, and whole family-centered content. Bereishit Playgroup + Parent Connection Cohorts are our newest offering, which will meet weekly for 6 weeks on Shabbat mornings, will provide facilitated conversation and Jewish learning for parents alongside childcare with fun age-appropriate activities. Adult learning will draw inspiration from NSP’s Kollel curriculum. Parents who participate will have the opportunity to help shape the focus of the adult learning sessions based on their interests.

The program will meet weekly for 6 weeks on Shabbat mornings at 9:30-10:30 am, in or near Petworth.

We are launching two pilot cohorts; select which dates work best for you when you register below:

  • March 16-April 20

This program is made possible in part by generous support from the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.
