Do you have family or friends who could support building our new home, but you aren’t sure how to ask them?

NSP’s new home is an amazing opportunity for our wider circle of family and friends to be part of building our community. And, honestly, we could really use their help.

In this practical workshop we’ll meet IN THE NEW SPACE!!, demystify fundraising, prepare to ask the people in our lives for support, and talk through common barriers or challenges we might face.

Wed July 15, 7-9pm

1230 Taylor St NW DC (our new home!!!!)

RSVP below!

Who might you ask?

  • Anyone who cares about you
  • Anyone who can contribute – whatever the amount
  • Anyone who cares about progressive community, Jewish community, or both
  • Parents, grandparents, extended family – local or not – who love you (and who love your kids, if you’ve got ‘em)
  • Friends – local or not
  • People with whom you went to school, did a workshop or program, play sports, organize, went to youth group or camp, etc…
  • Anyone who is excited that you have a community you’re jazzed about!

We’ll especially make space for:

  • Talking about money with friends or family – including different class/wealth perspectives
  • Talking to people who might not feel at home with NSP’s Israel-Palestine politics
  • Practicing storytelling about what this community means to you
  • Cultivating excitement about vital, welcoming, and progressive Jewish institutions
