At NSP, we serve as a shelter from the storm for one another. Each of us has a role to play in making NSP a sanctuary for all who wish to join us. This year, we’re building a literal sanctuary to dwell in!

With your help, in the next year we will: 

  • Design, build-out, and move into a space of our own for the first time, where we’ll be able to make it truly feel like home and settle in for at least the next 10 years. We’ll have access to the space anytime we want to gather for a service, workshop, concert, organizing meeting, or social gathering. We’ll hang art, have a sign out front, and create a sense of belonging for our long-wandering community. This is a huge step forward into a new chapter for our community – now 400 households (800 individuals, including over 200 children) – and requires increased expenses.  
  • Expand and sustain Kollel, our innovative kids’ education program which currently teaches 81 children, with additional classes to serve more students, build on our original Hebrew learning program (the first-ever to include non-binary Hebrew) and anti-semitism curriculum, and launch a new teen program.
  • Solidify our Bereishit program for families with young children as a nurturing space to parent in community and add a pre-K introduction to Jewish education for our youngest members.
  • Serve as a spiritual and supportive home base for organizers and activists working to protect our neighbors and push back against the onslaught of authoritarianism.
  • Create more opportunities to make meaningful connections with others and engage in vibrant Jewish practice with a full slate of arts, culture, learning, ritual, and social programming to ground in our tradition and build community.

We have $50,000 left to raise in general operating funds to stay on track toward these ambitious goals for the year to come. Please help us meet our goal!
